Gary: Doing super on this great fall day; beautiful weather here in Vancouver. Mark: So we’re going to talk about the kind of services because you have a bigger range of services than a lot of what people probably would automatically think of. So let’s just jump in, do you provide any kind of MC Services? Gary: Yes, MC Services are one of our off shoot services. I had started out a while ago not thinking about MC Services but people started asking, do you do MC Services, do you do MC Services and from my background in Vegas in Reno and performing internationally I kind of do have that stage presence and I’m really happy to offer MC Services to clients who find that their mother, father, brother, sisters are just too shy to get up there and do it. I’m a big ham anyways, so I just need a little encouragement in terms of what you want me to say or just basically give me an outline skeleton schedule and I can roll with it and give you a great time as your MC. Mark: So, what about Karaoke services and do you do the DJ and Karaoke together ever? Gary: Absolutely, we do that all the time. Karaoke is one of my specialties and I think as I mentioned before there’s a right way to do karaoke and a wrong way to do karaoke and I have a lot of experience doing that and also, in terms of that, I have the largest English karaoke database in all the lower mainland and quite a good multicultural selection too. All the main cultural groups are pretty much covered in terms of karaoke in the lower mainland. From the classics right up to the brand new radio hits and we have some effects on your voices like digital delay, tonal control that adds a smoothness and warmth to your vocals. Unfortunately it won’t make you sound better if you’re a bad singer, won’t make it sound better but you will sound smoother and warmer. Mark: You just did a pretty big karaoke event, didn’t you? Gary: Oh, I did a number of big karaoke events. We just did a, I don’t know if you know the show, Supernatural it’s been on about ten years. We did their event when they came up here. They actually do, go out and do around the cities all around throughout Canada and America with all the head stars of the show. They do a karaoke event with their fans and we actually came in and did their event with them and one of their criteria was, they wanted to have a large selection of 80’s songs because they love 80’s songs and I was happy to say that I had every single song that they wanted and they found that a number of karaoke providers didn’t have that so they were quite happy about that. In addition we brought along props such as wigs, hats, blow up instruments and fun items just to add to the entertainment and actually on my blog you’ll notice I did Oldendorf which is a German Company, do them every year, did them, this is the fourth time I’ve done them and we did it on beautiful Grouse Mountain, you can go to my blog, take a look at that and see what we did. It was a great time. Mark: So, what about interactive music services. I’m not even sure what the heck that is, honestly but I guess music video would be one of those? Gary: Well music videos is one angle, but interactive can be a lot of things, just adding extra value in terms of your guests or your clients, having them involved in the event. That could be things say for at the reception where your guests are milling around during cocktail hour and they’re just kind of talking to each other, not a lot going on, we can put things in there like music bingo. I don’t know if you’ve ever done music bingo before but that’s a great fun event, it’s exactly like regular bingo but we actually use music or cue up music for example under the O, I’ll say and then I put on maybe a clip of ‘You Shook Me all Night Long’ by AC/DC and everybody will start shaking and going and it starts out slow and then it starts to roll and you know, Hawaii 5-O I’ll get people to make believe they’re paddling at their tables and it just gets everybody involved. Interactive for say a company event, if you have a company of maybe a hundred people or more, lots of times the wives or the girlfriends might not know the other people in the company but they come out to the Christmas event and everybody is making a little strange, we could start a scavenger hunt at each table, find ten things, first table find these ten things they get to go to the buffet table.
