Okay, this interaction has to be one of my all-time faves. I was in New Westminster looking for interesting people & stories to capture. That’s when I spotted Arden. She was coming out of bridal wear store with her friends, and she GLOWING. I asked if I could take her portrait. This bride to be was a little hesitant at first… they had plans for lunch, and she was worried about being late…. Luckily, her friends gave her the push she needed to say yes. And OMG did she ever deliver!! Arden kept saying “I have no idea what I’m doing” and “I look so bad in photos” Uhmmmmm, sorry Arden – but that’s 100% not true! All I had to do was ask her about the love of her life, Dawson, and her beautiful vibrancy shined through. At one point she also said “I hate my smile” Folks, if you’re reading this, PLEASE tell her how incredible her smile is!! (She didn’t believe me, but hopefully she’ll believe you) The icing on the cake of this whole interaction was at 0:58, when her friend Emma asked if they knew the guy in Vancouver that “takes photos of people & their dogs” Oh boy, the look on her face when I told her that’s me lol You can’t see in the video, but that reaction put the biggest, proudest smile on my face.
